Role & Vision
Shri Saraswati Bhuvan Shikshan Sanstha — Established 1915
Shri Saraswati Bhuvan Shikshan Sanstha was established in 1915 with the role of awakening national sentiment among students by imparting education in the Marathi medium during the pre-independence period.
After independence, especially from 1955, the organization expanded by opening branches outside Aurangabad — an important step towards fulfilling the goal of universal education. In 1963, colleges were started to promote higher education.
The government gradually supported education through the grant-in-aid system, from which the organization also benefited. Even under government regulation, the institution continued to initiate developmental activities.
From 1991, with the beginning of economic liberalization, financial responsibilities of the government were reduced. New academic disciplines emerged and the need arose to integrate traditional and modern courses through self-reliant educational models.
While progressing in this direction, it became essential to address challenges within the education sector and restore harmony, goodwill, and cooperation among stakeholders — continuing proactive efforts in nation-building and social restructuring.
Accepting this ongoing educational role, the Sanstha has adopted the following guiding approach:
- To strive for the all-round development of every learner and to create capable human resources for national development.
- To encourage cooperation among all elements of the education system and promote excellence, skills, and meaningful values in every student.
- To recognize rights and responsibilities within a broader educational and social context.
- To base institutional development on innovation, nationalism, work ethics, and initiative.
